Talking about money with children is important, because it helps them to gain awareness in their relationship with money. But how to do it without being pedantic and boring? Arco and Iris, two little children who have lived for many years on a money box in the Museum of Saving, can help us.
One night, without knowing whether it was a dream or a spell, they woke up to find themselves real people and took part in an unforgettable adventure!
“Arco & Iris in South America” is a new content developed by the Museum of Saving for parents and teachers to introduce the topic of economic independence and to teach children that a balanced relationship with money is the right path to achieve their dreams.

On the occasion of the Global Money Week 2022, the fairy tale was translated in 19 foreign languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Bulgarian, Portuguese, Serbian, Moldavian, Bosnian, Croatian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Arabic, Slovenian, Albanian, Slovak, Greek, Polish and Hungarian), thanks to the collaboration with the International Network of Subsidiary Banks of Intesa Sanpaolo and of other entities such as the Hellenic Financial Literacy Institute and Stowarzyszenie Krzewienia Edukacji Finansowej.
“Arco & Iris in South America” is a new multilingual tool that the Museum of Saving and the network of the International of Subsidiary Banks of Intesa Sanpaolo, as well as other entities specialized on financial literacy, will make available to parents to help them educate their children about economic independence.

Arco and Iris travel round Europe – France, England, Portugal: Arco and Iris are nearing the end of their grand European adventure. Along the way, they’ve become much wiser with money — not only thanks to their travel experiences, but also because they’ve been carefully studying the resources shared by the museum: videos, books, podcasts, and more.
After learning the basics of financial education during their South American journey — setting goals, saving, planning, and being patient — they are now ready for more advanced lessons: diversification, risk and return, how prices are determined, inflation, and purchasing power.

Arco and Iris in the Far East: the magic continues! Arco and Iris have set off once again, and this time their adventure takes them all the way to Japan — a land full of wonders, far from home.
By now, the cheerful siblings have become experts at saving their money and planning their travels without wasting a single coin. They prefer to keep their treasures safe for the many adventures that still await them.
