Global Money Week 2023 (GMW) will be held from 20 to 26 March 2023 and will be coordinated for Italy by the Committee for the planning and coordination of financial education activities.
The theme of the 2023 edition is “Plan your money, plant your future“, to underline the link between planning your finances and your future, with particular regard to the challenges of environmental sustainability.
For the occasion, the Museum of Saving is proposing two interesting events for schools.

Interactive lesson “From money to bank account”
As part of Global Money Week, middle school students are invited to participate to the online meeting “From money to bank account”.
An exciting interactive lesson in which students will be taken from the origins of money to the birth of the bank account through animated videos, surveys and word clouds.
Curiosity, ancient legends and “impossible” interviews will help you discover how the coin was born and how it has evolved through the different historical periods, and to learn important concepts for the daily management of money.
The meeting will end with an enjoyable quiz challenge between the participating classes, on what they have learned during the meeting.

“The wonderful world of For and Mica between pennies and piggy banks”
As part of the Global Money Week, primary school students are invited to participate in the online event “The wonderful world of For and Mica between pennies and piggy banks” organized for the occasion by the Museum of Saving.
The mascots of the Museum, the ants For and Mica, will tell the children many historical curiosities about the piggy bank, the iconic object of savings, and will explain some important concepts for the daily management of money.
For and Mica will enliven the lesson with quizzes, videos and small exercises to do in class, and then answer all the participants’ questions and curiosities about money.
