In Italy, the average level of financial education remains among the lowest in Europe: only 37% of adults have a sufficient knowledge of basic economic concepts, a percentage that drops to 35% among young people between 18 and 23 years old.
A cultural fragility that is reflected in ineffective habits: less than half of young adults save regularly and only 27% of Italians declare that they have long-term consumption and saving goals. The lack of financial literacy can lead to situations of indebtedness, impulsive choices, and risky investments faced superficially.
Unfortunately, in our country, where cases of discontinuous school education are still frequent, we witness a lack of trust in institutions, and we pay the price of the absence of simple and engaging educational tools. In this context, strengthening citizens’ financial skills becomes an urgent priority.
To respond to this challenge, LET’S SCORE A TRY! Take care of your money is born, the cycle of meetings proposed by the Museum of Saving to accompany young people and adults in a path of practical and accessible financial literacy.
The program consists of 10 online appointments, from September 2025 to May 2026, each dedicated to a key theme: value of money over time, inflation, saving and planning, the role of banks, indebtedness, investments, financial instruments, digital payments, and cryptocurrencies. The lessons are not frontal but engaging: videos, quizzes, tests, and interactive activities alternate to promote understanding and make the experience profitable and participatory.
Each module is designed to provide useful tools for everyday life, also through examples and exercises: an invitation to take care of your economic health, as you do with your physical one! LET’S SCORE A TRY! is an opportunity to learn how to make conscious decisions, plan your life goals, and become more autonomous and informed citizens.
