From February 17, a new cycle of labs for children: “Sim sala GREEN – the creative re-use”.
Would you like to spend a different Sunday? Are you looking for new teaching labs in Turin to engage your children in something entertaining and informative at the same time?
The Museum of Saving offers a new cycle of teaching labs to bring children closer to the topics of re-use and circular economy in an unusual and pleasant way.
The workshops will boost creativity and imagination, guiding children in making small artistic works with waste materials and experimenting several artistic techniques.
The labs are addressed to children aged from 6 to 14 years and will get activated with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 participants. During the lab, parents can visit the Museum.
THE MONEY COUNTING BOX
By using old cardboard boxes, we will design and build together a money counting box.
Children will cut and glue pieces of cardboard and will color them as they please. They will then be invited to recognize the various types of coins, playing with addition and subtraction.
Children will be guided in making an original paper wallet.
They will use sheets of newspapers and magazines brought from home, which will be cut into stripes to weave together .
THE COIN PURSE
Children will learn how to pack a useful coin purse by recovering the old milk boxes in tetrapack.
They will have to cut tetrapak, to fold it and to decorate as they please with magazines clippings.
The necessary stationery is made available by the Museum.
Each lab will last about 2 hours.
