On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, on Wednesday 26 November at 6 p.m. the Museum of Saving is organising the event “LOVE BOMBING, ROMANCE SCAM and ECONOMIC VIOLENCE”, to explore the phenomenon of love bombing and other forms of psychological abuse that can lead to forms of economic dependence.

Through “love bombing” one gains influence and control over the partner by overwhelming her with attention and gifts, especially in the early stages of a relationship. It is a form of manipulation that often induces the victim to give up her autonomy, including economic autonomy.
Often the behaviour of the love bomber is driven by the desire to make a profit, through the increasingly widespread phenomenon of romantic scams, in English “Romance Scam”.
We will discuss it with experts who address the issue from different perspectives: psychological, victim support, and protection against gender-based violence in its various forms.
