RESULTS, INNOVATION, AND IMPACT IN THE 2025–2026 SCHOOL YEAR

The 2025–2026 school year confirmed the role of the Museum of Saving as a national point of reference for economic citizenship education, consolidating an educational model based on scientific rigor, methodological innovation, and inclusion.
Thanks to an increasingly broad, inclusive, and innovative educational offering, the Museum engaged a total of 155,031 students and teachers from primary, middle, and high schools across Italy and abroad, representing a 32% increase compared with the previous year. A total of 1,557 educational activities were delivered to schools – including financial education programs, workshops, guided tours, and in-depth events – for a total of 2,277 hours of training.
The quality and scientific reliability of the educational offering were recognized in 2025 by the National Committee for Financial Education through the award of its “Quality Seals,” which certify that the activities have no commercial purposes and comply with high standards for the delivery of financial education programs.
A distinctive feature of the Museum is its educational innovation: the educational offering is based on edutainment, interactivity, digital tools, and active participation. Through games, simulations, and collaborative activities, students develop economic and financial skills in a practical and engaging way. The interdisciplinary approach connects financial education with other subjects in the school curriculum and with the major challenges facing the contemporary world, integrating topics such as environmental and social sustainability, digital transformation, online safety, artificial intelligence, and human capital development.
Among the main new initiatives introduced during the 2025–2026 school year were the “Edufin & Literature” series, which brought literary classics into dialogue with economics, and webinars exploring the connections between sports and money on the occasion of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games. The EDU FIN&FUN programs for primary and middle schools were also expanded and consolidated, as was the “A Window on the World” series for high schools, dedicated to exploring current economic issues in greater depth.
At the same time, teacher training continued through specialized webinars and the free LET’S SCORE A TRY program, with the aim of supporting the integration of financial education into classroom teaching.
The Museum also strengthened its network of partnerships with institutions, public organizations, and third-sector associations, and signed a Collaboration Protocol with the Piedmont Regional School Office, the Piedmont Region, and organizations active in promoting financial education in schools across the area.
Thanks to FLITIN (Financial Literacy International Network), the Intesa Sanpaolo Group network active in Italy and 11 other European and non-European countries, the Museum was able to share and replicate established educational formats abroad, reaching more than 13,000 students outside Italy.
Starting in 2025, a new system was introduced to monitor satisfaction with initiatives for schools, designed as a tool for listening and continuous improvement, with the aim of making the educational offering increasingly aligned with teachers’ interests, expectations, and needs. In more than 90% of cases, teachers expressed their willingness to enroll their class again in future editions of initiatives they had already experienced, confirming the high level of appreciation for the programs offered.
Looking ahead, the Museum of Saving will continue to invest in expanding and personalizing its educational programs, strengthening teaching support tools for teachers, and extending its activities to communities facing greater educational and social vulnerabilities. Particular attention will be devoted to strengthening the Museum’s international dimension, with the aim of reaching an increasing number of students and contributing to the spread of an increasingly inclusive economic and financial culture, both in Italy and abroad.
