Children’s Summer 2024 at the MoS

From 10 June to 6 September 2024, the Museum of Saving offers summer campuses two fun educational workshops to enliven summer 2024.

Children and teenagers will learn, through play, what the most sustainable choices are when it comes to food waste and the basic concepts for moving safely on the internet.

FOR & MICA in the kitchen
Little chefs cook without waste

A light-hearted laboratory to reflect with For and Mica, the mascots of the Museum of Saving, on the phenomenon of food waste and what we can do in our own small way to avoid it.

After an introduction by the tutor who will make it clear how widespread food waste is still in Italy and around the world, the participants, divided into groups, will face two challenges: shopping consciously and attentive to waste and learning how to preserve food correctly.

The second part of the activity will see the children using all their creativity to create recipes to recover food leftovers, to obtain the precious diploma of “Chef of the For & Mica Food Saving Academy”.

Age: 6 – 10 years

Duration: 60 minutes

PRICK UP YOUR EARS

PCs, smartphones, tablets and electronic devices: children and teenagers are immersed in an increasingly digital world and protection becomes fundamental. Even the economy cannot do without the Web and Cybersecurity is an increasingly important area, to be known and mastered as soon as possible.

Prick up your ears is a fun workshop designed for girls and boys with the aim of exploring, in a simple way, topics related to computer security.

By testing themselves with games, challenges and team quizzes, children will learn how to navigate safely and how to protect electronic devices, personal data and internet purchases from possible online scams.

The workshop is available in two versions, depending on the age of the participants:

  • I don’t fall for it (age 6 – 10 years)
  • Be smart! (age 11 – 13 years)
