Financial Anxiety: when money becomes a mental burden.

On Thursday, May 7 at 6:00 PM, the Museum of Saving, in collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, is organizing the event Financial Anxiety: when money becomes a mental burden to explore strategies and practical tools for dealing with financial anxiety.

According to a recent survey (Unobravo, 2025), nearly two-thirds of the Italian population experience financial stress at least once a week, with almost 30% reporting daily anxiety.
Unexpected expenses and insufficient savings are among the most frequently cited causes, followed by income instability, persistent debt, and fear of losing one’s job.
Financial anxiety is a growing phenomenon both clinically and socially: developing strategies and tools to address it helps foster psychological and financial well-being, and supports more rational and thoughtful decision-making.
