On the occasion of the International Festival of Economics in Turin, the Museum of Saving, in collaboration with the Foundation for School and with the Toscanini-Einaudi Comprehensive Institute of Parma, organizes a fun quiz with educational content for middle school students.
Eco-Quiz represents an extension for lower secondary schools of the EconoMia Competition, reserved for students in the final two years of high schools and part of the International Festival of Economics format.
Objectives of Eco-Quiz 2025
Developed with particular attention to the goals for skill development and specific learning objectives included in the new Guidelines for Civic Education, which highlight economic development and sustainability as one of the three conceptual pillars, Eco-Quiz aims to:
- Introduce students to economic topics and the management of scarce resources, whether financial or natural, already in middle school years, thus contributing to the personal and collective cultural growth of the country.
- Support students in becoming responsible, autonomous, aware citizens, engaged in an increasingly complex and constantly changing society, equipping them with useful tools to make choices critically and responsibly, including evaluating the reliability of the information they possess.
- Help students understand the relationship between money, work, and both personal and collective well-being.
- Emphasize the multidisciplinary nature of economics through dialogue among different subjects.
For this fourth edition, the contest’s content focuses on acquiring the skills needed to design young people’s future and to develop their self-entrepreneurship and human capital.

To protect participant privacy, teachers will be asked to identify themselves using an alphanumeric code created according to instructions from the organizers.
Winners will be automatically identified through the quiz software, which will award the class that answers correctly in the shortest time. The top ten classes in the qualifying round will proceed to the final round.
Special attention will be given if the winning class also won the previous year’s contest. In such case, the prize will be awarded to the second-place class.
