The Museum of Saving and the Royal Museums of Turin join forces for the exhibition “Il Volto delle Donne. L’altra faccia della Storia”

The Museum of Saving is pleased to announce a new collaboration with the Royal Museums of Turin, aimed at highlighting historical and cultural heritage through the lens of financial education.

The collaboration was launched on the occasion of two dossier exhibitions dedicated to Margherita of Savoy, inaugurated by the Royal Museums to mark the 100th anniversary of the death of the first Queen of Italy. One of them, the exhibition “The Face of Women: The Other Side of History,” hosted in the Royal Mint and Medal Collection, offers a fascinating account of the role and representation of women through the numismatic collections of the Royal Museums of Turin.

As part of the exhibition and its related digital content, the Museum of Saving contributes insights into the historical, economic, and cultural value of coins, offering visitors new perspectives for understanding how money can also provide valuable evidence of society and its evolution.

The collaboration will continue over the coming months with a rich program of initiatives for the general public and schools. These include “Three Coins, Three Stories,” a series of events organized with the Royal Museums that will take participants on a journey through different historical figures, periods, and curiosities by exploring some of the most significant coins in the collections, and the series “If Power Had a Face: Conversations Between History and the Present,” focusing on the representation of women throughout the centuries and the role of women in public life.

There will also be workshops and educational activities designed to introduce children, young people, and families to history and financial education topics.

The first initiatives will get underway in the coming months. The Museum of Saving’s website and social media channels will soon feature the full schedule of events and all the information needed to participate.

STAY TUNED!
