On Wednesday, 21 January, the second edition of the initiative “The young urban planner 2.0 – Connected to the Present, building the Future” will officially begin. The project is promoted by MOBA – Movimento per i Bambini ODV, in partnership with Fondazione Educatorio della Provvidenza ETS and ADN – Associazione Diritti Negati, with the support of the Piedmont Regional Authority.
The event on 21 January, scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, marks the launch of an educational pathway that will engage children and youngsters from primary and middle schools in Turin and the surrounding area. The program encourages students to look at their neighbourhoods with new eyes, transforming them from spectators into active participants in urban regeneration and fostering a renewed sense of civic awareness through direct observation and analysis of their local environment.
Thanks to the dedicated platform piccolourbanista.org, classes will be able to rethink the places they live in, combining civic education with digital design.
This edition will also involve the Museum of Saving, which will offer schools the workshop “Be Smart”. Through a fun and game-based approach, the workshop stimulates reflection on the risks associated with internet use, with particular attention to digital identity, online shopping, electronic payments and online scams.
All classes participating in the online workshops (up to a maximum of 15) will also be granted free admission to the Museum of Saving (Via San Francesco d’Assisi 8/a, Turin).
