Well-Spent Time: Financial Education Meetings for Seniors

How to spend a pleasant afternoon improving your financial skills

People over 65 represent a segment of the population with a significant savings heritage, the result of a lifetime of work and a naturally cautious approach to financial management. At this age, many economic decisions have already been made and, in theory, the decumulation phase should begin. However, the complex evolution of the social and economic environment — characterized by inflation, variable interest rates, and uncertainties about pension systems — makes it difficult to face the future with peace of mind, often fueling concerns about financial stability.

Money-related anxiety is even more widespread among those who are aware they are at the end of their working life, and the fear of not having sufficient resources to face the future (healthcare expenses, support for children or grandchildren, rising costs of living) can generate a strong sense of insecurity.

The Museum of Savings offers a series of afternoon meetings designed for seniors: the goal is to share knowledge and skills useful for managing one’s money more effectively, making informed decisions, and protecting oneself from risks and fraud.

The meetings, created with simple and accessible language, also provide an opportunity to learn and spend time in an enjoyable way.
